Bakin Bits

Bakin Bits is an indie pop-n-rock band based out of Denver and Boulder, CO, featuring Andrew Baker on vocals and guitar with Joel Shumake on drums. Started in April 2022 as a solo project under Baker, the project grew to include Shumake in January 2024. They bring a high energy to all of their shows with their playstyle and original tunes, showcasing a love of the indie genre and emulating the high energy aura of the bands that influence their style of sound. Their songwriting is grounded in accessibility, taking you through easy-to-follow journeys against the back beat of pop-rock progressions.
Inspirations for the band, which serve as recommended artists as well, include: Big Thief, Christian Lee Hutson, Cloud Nothings, Death Cab for Cutie, Futurebirds, Hovvdy, Kishi Bashi, Led Zeppelin, Phoebe Bridgers, Slow Pulp, The Doors, The Guess Who, The Nude Party, The Shins, and Waxahatchee.
