Although an accomplished musician she is also the author of\, The Be Attitudes\, A Woman’s View of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and her latest book called The Great Urantia Agreement which highlights an important quote from the URANTIA Book.Be\, a Vietnam Navy Veteran is also a Doctor of Divinity is and an ordained minister through the Church of the Universal Light. DESCRIPTION:Ellen sings “Songs I Learned at My Mother’s Knee\, and Other Joints.”\nEllen’s mother used to play records to try to help her sleep; everything from the Sons of\nthe Pioneers to Edith Piaf. The night was filled with the plaintive cries of\, “Mommy\, turn\nthe record over!” Growing up in New York City and New Jersey\, her life revolved around\nmusic. She got her first guitar for her 14th birthday\, then her cat ate the strings off it.\nAfter purchasing a steel string guitar\, she made the rounds of the northern New Jersey\ncoffee house scene in the 1970s.\nAfter attempting a Fine Arts degree at Penn State\, Ellen moved westward to seek fame\,\nfortune and the Colorado magic promoted by John Denver. Arriving in Georgetown\n1979\, she moved to Steamboat Springs for her first ten Colorado winters. Ellen fronted\nseveral popular local bands in Steamboat (remember the Cow Pattie and the Meadow\nMuffins? No one else does either!)\, before moving to Denver. Music pursuits morphed\ninto a career in massage therapy\, which lead to years in elder care. Ellen now\ncombines her love of Seniors with music to entertain\, engage and enlighten any group\nthat likes to sing\, laugh and listen.\nEllen’s style combines old Folk favorites\, Pop tunes\, Sing-alongs and stories. A special\nfavorite is the Kingston Trio’s salute to Anne Boleyn\, “With Her Head Tucked\nUnderneath Her Arm;” a song that gives her the same thrills as when her mother played\nit for her 63 years ago. \nPatty Jackson’s angelic voice\, her stunning finger style guitar licks\, the sweet sound of her ukulele\, and the funked-up chords of her minty green baritone guitar. Patty’s musical style is a unique fusion of folk\, rock\, and country with a touch of jazz. Born in central New York\, Patty was given some Joan Baez tickets when she was 15 years old\, and that changed the trajectory of her life. She was bitten by the music bug and over the years she formed several bands\, cutting her teeth on bar gigs. She soon started playing the college circuit\, folk clubs\, and coffeehouses in New England and New York with her band\, Wildfire. In addition to performing around town\, the band also played for Hillary Clinton during her run for senator from New York. In 2004\, Patty moved to Colorado and joined Resonance\, The Women’s Chorus of Boulder. There she met bandmates who formed the group\,

DESCRIPTION:The format will be everyone gets to lead a song and we will go around to each person\, also maybe passing a mic\, but no plug-in otherwise. All folk style instruments are welcome. Get your folk music lists ready and we will try to keep the era of music to 70’s and older but most songs are welcome\, even acoustic versions of newer material. All levels of play are welcome (try to keep with the chords/notes/rhythm of the songs. Performance songs are also welcome.\nIf you do not have an acoustic instrument we might have an extra. Message the host for more info.\nPlease remember we will have two hours to play so try to keep the song breaks to a minimum. This is inside to keep in mind there will be limited space but no limit on players.\nLet’s also support La Dolce Vita and get lunch\, snacks\, drinks\, or deserts and of course coffee (mmmm so good).\nLet’s all have fun and DAM JAM!!!

DESCRIPTION:Be Be\, a Colorado song writer / musician\, performs at the Arvada coffee shop La Dolche Vita on the 4th Sunday of each month. Whereas\, she used to play the Banjo with Moses Walker in this time slot\, she now gets to play guitar and sing a myriad of songs she’s written over the past several decades. “I get to play my favorite songs from 10 am till 1 pm\, and when that time is up I still haven’t played all the songs I’ve written.”If you were to take the following songwriters and blend them all together you would get to hear the type of music that Be writes. James Taylor\, Joni Mitchell\, Justin Hayward\, Dolly Parton\, Paul McCartney\, Jessie Colin Young\, Neil Young\, Gordon Lightfoot and many more. These are songs that never have been produced and are for a future generation.Periodically Be also integrates her sets with recordings of Moses and plays Banjo in memory of him. Although an accomplished musician she is also the author of\, The Be Attitudes\, A Woman’s View of The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and her latest book called The Great Urantia Agreement which highlights an important quote from the URANTIA Book.Be\, a Vietnam Navy Veteran is also a Doctor of Divinity is and an ordained minister through the Church of the Universal Light.
